I think christians have lied since the beginning of christianity. God tell me that he will accept anyone no matter what, for he is their father. I belive that most christians are comdemned to hell because they have lied since the beginning. God told people early that he will accepted anyone and because of the political drive to make christanity world wide; people created lies, like hell, to spread christianity at all cost. I no longer fear hell for myself, I fear hell for those who tell others that our Father will torture any of his children. I fear hell for those who say life is a test and those who fail will be burned and tortured forever. I know every single one of you want to say that im confused or misguided but I no longer trust the words of people who think god would send his child to torture. My god have mercy on your souls. I will pray for you. I will actually do it, unlike all you who say it every day and never write down any screen name.

Well Taren, you really need to make up your mind as to whether you believe theres a hell, or it's a lie. You can't think it's a lie, and fear it at the same time, which is it.

I don't know where people is getting that life is a test, it's not. Life on earth is to prepare us for life in Heaven. If you truly are a Christian, you really need to read your Bible carefully, there are many, many, many references to hell. Read the book of Revelation, it describes what will happen at the second coming and what hell looks like.

I'm truly sorry if you are confused, God Bless You.

I would guess that the liars are Paul and the others that authored the letters included in the bible. The lie was just perpetuated for 2000 years. The priests that chose the letters included in the bible may have also lied and changed the wording to further the interest of the church. If you want to blame someone. that would be the place to start. It is understandable that people could have been easily taken in by the fear of hell and damnation.

Stories of all kinds get twisted over years, but I doubt storytellers wanted to lie. That is one reason why I am Universal Unitarian. I truly do not think one religion is better than the other. My family has tried to make me 100% Christian, but there are so many uncertainties and divisions among the church. Why not be open-mined toward all views of those stories? The Lord does love you, and I just prayed for you a second ago and shall pray some more. God is good. May you be blessed and find your path.

Wow, are you holding on to some hostility or what ? I think you answered your own questions with your accusations. Look deeper into your ownself to find your own fears in your words. It sounds like your playing a tug of war with your own emotions. Also, Christianity is not political. You like the others of the world degrade Christianity by using it for your political agenda. Jesus didn't vote for politicians and I'm sure he didn't care. Now the people want to blame someone, so you pick the Christian to blame. Like it is the Christian families fault guns and rockets are being made. Give me a break you weirdo... First off Jesus came with a simple plan and we killed him because we acted just like you are now.

Christians (true Christians) rely on the Bible for their theology. The Bible, which was completed in the 1st Century AD, talks a lot about heaven and hell. Jesus talked more about hell than he did about heaven. Maybe he was trying to warn us?

No. I don't like the idea of anyone being tortured, but God gives us all the option to love Him or not. If the choice is to not, that's the consequences.

Miss-informed people like you who try to mislead others is the very reason that God recorded the Bible. ---So everyone could read it for themselves. I know many in Muslim and communist countries are not allowed to read the Bible-but God will deal with that situation too.

i agree...the bible has been seen and quoted as fact, as something to live by....it is man-made...that is that. People should not be "condemned" for things like sexual preference, suicide and "blasphemy against blah blah BLAH" its just ridiculous....point is...they learn one thing, follow and teach to their kids, all the while punishing them for thinking on their own..THANK GOD my mother let me have a brain...

I think you better re-read the Bible, and pray for God's divine guidance when you do. Your interpretation doesn't sound right.
