If the kid in question has all their adult teeth, then they can use Invisalign. How ever Invisalign is more expensive then regular braces.

In most cases, all adult teeth must be erupted and in place.
Also, Invisalign depends on patient cooperation. Young teens and even older teens are non-compliant. The aligners must be worn at all times - except for eating and brushing. Kids tend to take them out at lunch and throw them away with their cheeseburger wrappers.
Adults do far better with Invisalign than children or teens.
A rip-off? No, they work quite well in cases where they are appropriate. Often cost much less than traditional wires and bands.

Not really recommended for teens or children. The patient must be responsible for wearing the trays for at least 20 hours a day and most kids can't be trusted to do that. Also, children are more likely to lose a tray and they aren't cheap to replace.

They are not FOR kids, but kids can use them. Many orthodontists just don't off them for kids. Too bad.
