ooey gooey topping

3 tablespoons butter or margarine
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla

Melt butter or margarine on low heat.
Mix in sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla.
Pour over bowl of popcorn.
*You can adjust the amount of butter, sugar, and cinnamon depending on taste preferences.

I found this discussion on the web, also saying that chocolate milk powder sprinkled on popcorn was good. It went on to say:

Some of the more interesting ideas I saw on there were chipotle powder, Old Bay (they say it’s “orgasmic), and garam masala.

Orange zest and black pepper, together, was another one I hadn’t thought of. Although I do recall an old episode of a Jamie Oliver show where he made seasoned popcorn salt with orange zest.

I could see smoked paprika being a good addition as well. The hot/sweet combination seemed popular too, with people suggesting cayenne or cinnamon with sugar.

A few people suggested wet seasonings like balsamic vinegar or hot sauce. Wouldn't that make the popcorn soggy?

Melt marshmallows in butter and pour over popcorn. The topping is similar to what is used for Rice Krispie bars, but don't have to press into a pan and does not need to be as well coated.

Melt almond bark and pour over the popped popcorn. Use little or much to suit your taste. may add M&M's or peanuts as desired.

My friend used to put hot sauce on her popcorn. I like seasoned salt sometimes and butter.

Cinn. & sugar is good, tastes like kettle corn. Garlic/Onion powder. Or, if you want something spicey make a mix of things like curry/paprika, etc. Also tasty is any type of cheese, of course!
