Due to Adam's sin, mankind ended up separated from God and eternally enslaved by Satan.
What happened was legal, but not right, and only God had the power to fix it.
God's justice system wouldn't allow him to just kick Satan out and re-establish Adam.
The only way Satan's dominion over man could be destroyed was to give Satan the opportunity to commit a crime, and then legally punish him for it, taking away all his power.
The only thing Satan, or anyone for that matter, could not do on earth was to take the life of a sinless, innocent man.
So Jesus arranged to come to earth as just that.
It took Satan about 33 years to get around to putting the innocent Jesus to death, at the hands of his minions, the Jews and the Romans.
Once Jesus died, Satan was stripped of all his power. Jesus rose again, and all power in heaven and on earth was given to him.
Jesus gave man freedom. Man repented. God forgave man.
Ever since, Jesus has been the head of all mankind, and his church has been in charge of distributing the grace of salvation which he obtained for us, usually via baptism into his church.
There's much more to this than I can cover here, but this it, in a nutshell.
It's peculiar, but it does make sense, and it's true.

Jesus was crucified on the cross. Although to us human beings it may seem as if it were cruel for God to let Jesus die on the cross knowing He had the power to save Him. But if you read in Matthew when was crucified, God wasn't there. It was too hard for God to bear seeing His only Son dying on the cross. But God always knows what He's doing. In Jeremiah He says: "I kow the plans I have for you, to prosper you not harm you. And to give you hope for the future." See, God is a Father to jesus as He is to us all. Do you think any Father would be ablt to watch their son, their only son, dying? No. God has felings to, many people think He doesn't. God also had Jesus through all that pain because He knew it was the only way that we could be saved. If Jesus didn't die for us on the cross, we would all be immediately condemned to Hell. But, because of what Jesus did for us, we have been saved through his blood. Trust me, it wasn't easy either for God to see Jesus up on the cross, that's why He wasn't there when Jesus was crucified. Also, how much better does Jesus have it now? He's sitting at the right hand of the Father!

Jesus Christ is the Son of God, whose name is Jehovah. Jehovah and Jesus Christ loved mankind so much that Jesus was willingly to give up his life in order that our sins can be forgiven freely and that we have a chance to be counted righteous before God. Yes, God could have sent the angels to rescue Jesus, but Jesus knew his purpose. He knew he had to pay the ransom for what our first father, Adam took away from us..perfection & a chance for evelasting life. I'm sure God was hurt at his heart to see His only begotten son torture on the stake but the reward for Jesus was to be resurrected back to heavenly life and rule as King as he has been doing since 1914.

1. If Jesus is God's son, and born to Mary, then is he half God / half human?
2. If Jesus is God, then God died on the cross. How did the world survive without him?
3. If Jesus is God, then how is he God's son?

The psalmist lamented: “Not one of them can by any means redeem even a brother, nor give to God a ransom for him; (and the redemption price of their soul is so precious that it has ceased to time indefinite).” The New English Bible says that the ransom price was “for ever beyond his power to pay.” (Psalm 49:7, 8) Who, then, would provide the ransom? Only Jehovah could provide the perfect “Lamb . . . that takes away the sin of the world.” (John 1:29) God did not send some angel to rescue mankind. He made the supreme sacrifice of sending his only-begotten Son, “the one he was specially fond of.”—Proverbs 8:30; John 3:16.
By his willing participation in the divine arrangement, God’s Son “emptied himself” of his heavenly nature. (Philippians 2:7) Jehovah transferred the life-force and the personality pattern of his firstborn heavenly Son to the womb of a Jewish virgin named Mary. Holy spirit then ‘overshadowed her,’ guaranteeing that the child growing in her womb would be holy, absolutely free of sin. (Luke 1:35; 1 Peter 2:22) As a man, he would be called Jesus. But in a legal sense, he could be called ‘the second Adam,’ for he corresponded perfectly to Adam. (1 Corinthians 15:45, 47) Jesus could thus offer himself up in sacrifice as “an unblemished and spotless lamb,” a ransom for sinful mankind.—1 Peter 1:18, 19.
To whom, though, would that ransom be paid? For centuries Christendom’s theologians argued that it was paid to Satan the Devil. The fact is that mankind has been “sold under” sin and thus has come under the control of Satan. (Romans 7:14; 1 John 5:19) Still, Jehovah, not Satan, “exacts punishment” for wrongdoing. (1 Thessalonians 4:6) Therefore, as Psalm 49:7 explicitly states, the ransom is to be paid “to God.” Jehovah makes the ransom available, but after the Lamb of God has been sacrificed, the value of his ransom must be paid to God. (Compare Genesis 22:7, 8, 11-13; Hebrews 11:17.) This does not reduce the ransom to a pointless, mechanical exchange, as if money were taken out of one pocket and put in another. The ransom involves not so much a physical exchange as a legal transaction. By insisting that a ransom be paid—even at great cost to himself—Jehovah affirmed his unwavering adherence to righteous principles.—James 1:17.

The whole point of him being on earth was to be crucified. For Jesus to die on the cross for our sins. If God helped him, then his being on earth would have been for nothing, well he did preach to a lot of people and preform miracles.

It did hurt God but God and Jesus did it for our sins to be forgiven. But it did hurt him so much. And he died on a pole or stake not a cross. The cross was taken from pagans

Some Bible verses for your answer.
18 For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
23 but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles
25 For the foolishness of God is wiser than man's wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man's strength

God gave Jesus to the virgin Mary. he was made so that he could be our saviour and take all our sins away. Jesus knew this, he knew his purpose. he was there to preach, be crucified, and rise again to preach some more. that was what God had intended for him.
