so that i can put files and music and videos on my ipod

I have no idea why Apple did that. iTunes and iPods simply don't work well with Windows ME or 98. You are DOOMED.

In fact, that is one reason to get an MP3 player and use that instead. You will find dozens of alternate download sites... a search at google will do the trick.

But keep your wits about you. Keep your firewall, anti-virus and anti-spyware software updated and ready to catch the bad things that go on. Don't leave your computer until you have disconnected from the service.

Winamp is a popular Windows media player. It's very simple to use and has customizable skins.

Edit: Oh sorry, I did not see the iPod part. In that case, you're best off sticking to iTunes. If you want to use another program, you should buy an MP3 player made by a different company.

i dont have an ipod but try using windows media player

windows me isn't good at all.
u should just upgrade to xp and install itunes.
