A friend alerted me that he had found MY photo being used in one of the Yahoo Personal Ads. He answered the ad trying to find out who the person is, but hasn't received an answer. While I should be a bit flattered, I suppose, that she/he picked my face to steal, what can be done about it without causing too much of a fuss? I don't want to get that person in trouble, but - I really would like to have sole use of my own face, don'cha know....

Wow. that's pretty full on! I think the only thing that you can do is to answer the ad and wait for response. I would be dying to know more about the person.. is it really a guy? Why are they lying.. is ther intention to get money from men or what? You were lucky to find out about it. It certainly gets one thinking.. I mean I bet you never imagined that would happen. If you get no response from answering the personals, try emailing them to say they should get rid of it quick etc.. They probably will. Failing that, you have to go to yahoo. I'm a photoretoucher by trade so I know how easy it is for this person to be putting your face on any pictures which may be sold or swapped for 'relationships' with men sending money.

If you're sure it's your photo, complain to Yahoo and have it removed. That's all. It's not like this person is going to jail for it, but Yahoo should be eager to take the picture down for you.

you need to contact Personals and let them know. The people that do this are scammers.
