I really want to know because I don't mean to upset anyone! lol. but its just part of my belief to make disciples of all nations. I understand that some people have continually pestered you. I don't do that, and I definitely don't approve of hating gay people or bombing abortion clinics. I'm against those things, but I'm going to protest those things peacefully and not by acting like a terrorist. So what am I doing wrong. Anymore tips? thanks!

You must be a living witness. It is not what you say that matters so much as what you do. I do not get the least bit offended if a Christian acts in a Christian manner - behaving morally, kindly, and reaching out to help those in need, out of a sincere desire to help (not just for show). But if someone tells me I should abandon my religion and become a Christian, I might get a bit offended. I try my best to realize that they are just doing what they believe is right, but it is really annoying, because I feel like they think I'm inferior for having a different faith.

I have a story to tell which will prove my point:
I grew up a Christian, and had never even met a Jewish person. When I did meet a Jewish person finally - an Israeli exchange student at my high school - I became totally impressed with her love, that I became almost jealous to have her level of compassion. I remember one incident vividly where there was a girl who was sick, and me and all my Christian friends were sitting at a table, making fun of her! We honestly thought she was just faking to get out of a choir concert we had coming up. So we did not give her the benefit of the doubt. We criticized her. The Jewish girl just sat there while we made fun, and she was noticeably disturbed. Finally she said, "Maybe she is a very sick girl." And she went over to the girl and got her water, and helped her. And she WAS very sick.

I will remember that act of compassion because the girl didn't give in to peer pressure, and instead was willing to do what was right when all the rest of us were not doing right.

This and other acts of compassion I noticed in this girl made me interested in Judaism.
I spent the next 10 years studying everything I could about Judaism, and almost converted. The girl never once asked me if I would join her faith or "proselytized" to me.

THAT's how you witness.

What a great question!!!!! WOW!!
The best thing a Christian can do to "possibly" convince others to believe is to stop talking about it and simply LIVE it.
That piques a person's interest more than a billion words.
Talk is cheap. I've actually asked people how they were able to live so peacefully and seemingly happy. That opened the door for conversation.
Give it a try. Don't talk, show.

your preaching to the wrong crowd. Any individual who lives in a nation (such as the United States) that the fast majority are Christian will have by simple interaction with society a good understanding of Christian theology and culture.

I myself have never been Christian, I have never had anyone in my family that was Christian yet I know what Christianity is, their is no reason to introduce your religion to a group of people who all ready know about it.

what you can do is promote your religion in a positive way, focus on the good aspects and explain how someone can benefit from being Christian while not insulting their current faith (or lack their of)

the problem here is, who are you to try and influence people you dont know. you have no idea what their thoughts are or what they believe. no one likes to be judged and you have done it allready by the non christian label. your religion is just that. yours. i might not believe the same as you, but that does not make you right and me wrong. but looking at it from an objective point of view, my tips are: dont ride bicycles with another wearing suits and ties. its a dead giveaway. they will run from you. actually the suit and tie is the main issue. you dont want to carry a briefcase either. there could be pamphlets in there. the kicker is, dont ask if they know jesus. the next person that asks me that is going to wind up in a dental chair, and im a non-violent person. hope this helps.

I do have a tip and I am seriously sincere about this....dont try. Most adults know about Christianity and can read and deduce things for themselves. Religion and beliefs are a private thing and you have no business 'introducing' anything that is not being ASKED of you. That is what most non Christians object to...that Christians cannot or will not accept that we have looked into their religion and arent interested in it. It doesnt feel right to us or fill whatever needs we have. If it does for you thats great...but like your sex life we dont need to know about it. And it is totally annoying and condescending of Christians to imply we are wrong or stupid in our beliefs and they will graciously allow us to join theirs...no thank you.

Well as you stated how you live - the only thing comes to mind is being happy with the quanity of people you reach.
This is where the overzealous have lost it. Being pushy and wanting more - getting greedy, being out of control, this always leads to ruin.
So, I would like to suggest stay with what you are doing but watch for greedy thoughts of world conquest type of ideas.
I hope I did not offend you. I am not good with words, and sorry for any offence.

First--DON'T. Not unless they ask you, & want to learn more about it. Well, so you're behaving like a civilzed person; that's good. To "...make disciples of all nations" is not only impossible, but a bit audacious. The diversity of religions (& philosophies) is infinite. To hope to "introduce me" (convert me) if I already have my own God, or no God at all is preposterous. How would you feel, if you had a different faith, or God, & someone--nice as pie--
about it, attempted to convince you to see it THEIR way?

Start first by telling me why you need to spiritually and emotionally introduce your religion to me. What good does it gain for you? Your answer will make me listen or not listen to you further.

Secondly, how well are you to just listening about another non-christian religion without judgement or comparison? If you can do both of these calmly and with a true open spirit. Then, I will listen.

You seem like a nice person and I myself don't have a problem with your approach. I was raised christian which is why I am an agnostic now. I will not go back.. to me that would be taking a step backwards. However, I would never knock you for your beliefs nor anyone else for that matter.

i think of you ought to learn up on the origins of devil then. have been you conscious that the Jewish people (which contains those of Jesus's time) have continually considered devil as an angel in God's hire who assessments people to strengthen their faith? i ought to pass on approximately Isaiah 14 and how it extremely is unquestionably a pair of babylonian king and not a fallen angel, how the Jews do no longer have faith in eternal torment, and if Jesus existed he could've been a Jew.. yet i think of you ought to learn for your self. answer: basically a million is "Satanic".. and that should be theistic Satanists. All others at the instant are not in that they do no longer worship devil. How is it which you christians can "sense devil" lots? Are you honestly the satanic ones?
