I already asked this in another category and only recieved 4 responses....i want more... im not one to steal ideas i just am a romantic crazy inlove man who wants some ideas to brainstorm off of to come up with something perfect. I found the right one and i want to make it a special day. Your dream engagement or the one that actually happened for you, i dont care just looking for ideas thanks girls! Your all so sweet!

My dream engagement would be this... and excuse me if it gets a bit graphic...
I come home from a long day at work. There is a note on my door that says "Take a bath, I will be home at 5 to pick you up. Go to the living room and follow the next set of instructions, and dont deviate." I unlock my door and in the living room there is a single balloon tied to a basket full of self care items. the note attached says "go to the bathroom and take a nice long bath- do not go anywhere else in the house. When you are done indulging in the bath, open the next letter".
I take a bath and then open the letter which directs me to the bedroom. When I open my bedroom door there is a box on the bed with a HUGE ribbon on it and a note. I open the box and inside there is this sexy evening dress and a sexy pair of black high heels. I open the note and it said put only these two items on and go to the living room. When i go back into the living room it is FULL of balloons and in the middle of the room there is this absolutely HUGE balloon in it with a small box attached to it. I open it up and it is a pair of earrings to put on. Then the door bell rings and it is my honey. He pulls me outside and has me get into a white limo he had rented. Inside the limo there is champagne, and a lot of sweet things. we go to dinner, and when we get back into the limo there are two cups waiting with champagne it it. He hands me mine and begins to drink his. As i look in the glass there is a ring in the bottom of it. He looks at me and asks me to marry him, i say yes, and well, the rest would be left to my imagination!!!
But since i know my hubby wouldnt do that, i would love to be surprised at work with abunch of balloons and flowers and have him walk in with a tux and surprise me in front of everyone (women gossip at work!!)

I love the idea of a scavanger hunt of sorts. Pick a day that has some meaning (whether it's the anniversary of your first date or whatever). Leave her a note or message just to tell her you love her. Somehow or at some point during the day send her somewhere(a friends house would work well) to pick up something, (this could be done several times over the course of the day). The package would have some item (jewelry or clothing) that she would a) love and b) never buy for herself. Leave a note in the box/bag, leaving her directions to be ready at a specific time then send a car/limo/cab/friend in a nice suit (lol) to pick her up and take her to a designated place. have a nice dinner (her fave food or meal is a good touch) and ease into it. Though this would only be a good idea if she likes surprises and suspense.

I think it would be really sweet if my boy took me to the beach in the evening and we watched the sunset and had a picnic. We'd stay there until it got dark, and then we would take a walk along the lake or ocean whatever water source we're by. Then he would just look into my eyes and tell me how exactly he felt about me, and then he'd tell me to wish on a star. Then he'd tell me that he hopes he can make all my wishes come true, and he'd ask me to marry him. And of course I would say yes!! haha Hope that helps ya some. GOOD LUCK!!

My Dream engagment, from my boyfriend would be, when he gets home. (He's a marine.) It will be summer and we'll be having a back-yard BBQ. It will be like ever other normal BBQ we go to. Or at least this is what I would think anyways. Then once everyones been sitting around starting to eat and what not. He randomly stands up and I'm kinda sort of paying attention and I then realize he's trying to get everyones attention. I pay attention because usually what he's going to say is going to be hilarious and just whatever. So he looks over at me, and does that incrediably cute wink to me. Just his way of saying I love you. Nothing I'd have expected. All of a sudden he yells out "So basically I have a question for (her name here)" And I'm like Oh great, he comes something random again. "Will you marry me." He says and gets down on one knee, and hands me a box thats open with a ring it that he himself picked out knowing just one I'd like. And All our friends, and some family would be around clapping.
So basically thats how I'd want to be asked. I write it like it happens because I pray one day my boyfriend asks me like that or in his own special way.

my engagement was very sweet and simple totally unexpected- we went for a sunset walk on the beach (we frequently go for walks) and we just walked around talking skipping rocks looking at seashells etc then i turned around he got down on one knee and asked me i was really surprised and it was sooo sweet we went to dinner afterwards and celebrated. I would just think about if you want it to be a surprise if you want to be alone in front of family cuz if you rent a limo go to an unusual fancy dinner she might guess something's up so its really what kind of mood do you want to achieve? good luck to you i would love to know what you ended up doing!

I would love for the guy to take my to my favourite restaurant, have my favourite flowers at the table, and when he's ready, ask me there. im only a teen but that would be very romantic.
