Give them enough rope and they will hang themselves, also, set a trap. Those types are usually so arrogant and busy setting you up, they never see the trap they are walking into.
If the harassment is physically threatening, make sure you are never alone, have witnesses and a paper trail, call the police and alert them.
If this is simply an asshole at work trying to make you look bad, believe me, the big bosses know all the tricks and will catch on. Continue doing your best and you will be recognized.
