they gave him vitaim K for the counter results what can i expect

Well, my dog did the same a few years ago. The Vitamin K just helps to clot the blood, whereas rat poison thins the blood to the point of hemorrhage. My dog took Vitamin K for 2 weeks. The first few days, she was nauseated and had very black stool. The vet said this was normal to occur for a few days, but to return if it occurred longer. She is great today. You need to report any bleeding from anywhere to your vet immediately.

Well he will probably have to have more than one dose of Vitamin K. As far as being sick...I'm not sure. I had a hamster eat rat poison once. It took like 3 weeks for him to die from it.
