Hi, for the last week and a half, ive started practiceing handstands. I havnt got that great yet, but ive started noticeing that im building some muscle. just wondering if like walking on your hands really does build up muscles, and if it does, i think its working better then push ups, because i did those for a few weeks, and saw less results. thanks for your help!

Hand stands would build and tone all kinds of muscles - mostly your arms, abdominals and back muscles -... possibly would even tone your butt and legs.

I've started doing handstands in my yoga class. It is called Adho Mukha Vrksasana. By starting out with hands on the floor and lifting one leg up and then slowly kicking that leg up and letting the other leg follow up into the handstand, you will build alot of muscle. The abdominals to get the legs up to handstand. Once in handstand, it is just like a military press upside down, so the shoulders and back muscles are engaged. Secondary muscles in the tricep and bicep, and the legs to a lesser extent, will also help with the stability of the handstand. If you are able to walk with your hands, by bending at the elbows, then the arm muscles and chest become very involved.
Congrats on the handstands! I have been working in yoga class for a year to be able to get up gracefully into the handstand. Controlled and slow movements will always build more muscle.

Of course, doing any kind of exercise that you don't do daily can build muscles.
