some will go to heaven but for the majority of us this earth is where we will be resurrected to live on it after all the wicked are done away with. It says those who go to heaven will rule with christ over the earth. How can they do that if no one is here?
This is where some will be resurrected. When they had the herricane in Louisianna some went to help. Some went to take advantage of the situation. that is an illustration.
Some people don't deserve to live. But even if you do get to come back if your not a decent person you won't stay.

This life isn't really a test, it's more to prepare us. Our real life will be, well, actually it depends on if you are Christian or not, Christians real life is in Heaven, non-Christians, hell.

Life is a gift and guess if had to be called a test - it would be about what we did with God's Son ...... accept or reject .... this is what determines our eternal destiny
the Scriptures clearly state what our eternal life will be like - serving and praising the One who gave His all for us!
