I don't believe this at all but I know many people that do. It totally contradicts the word of God. Please give some feedback on how you feel about it.

Ok stay with me on this. I asked a friend who believes OSAS if a man accepted Christ at say 18 yrs old then when he was 40 he left the church, murdered men, raped women, balsphemed God would this man go to heaven? He said No. I said why not with OSAS? He said, The man obviously never was truly saved or he wouldn't have done those things. I then asked Him "Are you saved right now?" He said yes. I then responded, "If you had asked the first man at age 18 are you saved he would have said yes also. So if the first man thought he was saved but actually wasn't how do you know that you are not in the same situation?

I believe we can KNOW without a doubt that we are saved. Scripture tells us "If we walk in the light as He is in the light" our sins are CONTINUALLY washed of our sins. That's what Paul is telling us in Romans when he talks about the mind set on the flesh versus the mind set on the spirit. If we keep our minds set on the spirit (this doesn't mean being sinless) then we can stumble and sin but we pick ourselves back up and press on to the goal. God doesn't ask us to be sinless He just asks us to battle against our sinfulness. That's how we can KNOW we are saved. We examine our hearts. We are on a journey to heaven sinning all the way (but trying to do our best to draw closer to our example of Christ.)

Yes, I believe that when a person becomes indwelt with the Holy Spirit of God he can never "lose" his salvation. Otherwise, what does the word "saved" mean?

I will grant that there are plenty of verses in the Bible that teach that "once saved, always saved" is not a biblical doctrine, but there are just as many that do!

Jesus said that no one can snatch a Christian out of God's hands. That is all I need to know to convince me that I am eternally secure in my salvation.

Think about this...who gave you the faith to believe the gospel? Ephesians 2:8 states that our faith is a gift of God!

I'll close on this note; what are your grounds for the assurance of your salvation? You may read mine by visiting my website at http://www.freewebs.com/parkman. I would be glad to hear your opinion of it!

Let's remember not to let doctrinal differences on this or any other biblical topic cause us to love each other any less as fellow believers. It's not worth fighting over!

Jesus is Lord!!!

This might be precise, nonetheless I do not consider that it's. It is viable to real be stored, after which fall clear of God. If you fall away to this point, you might get into the attitude that "God does not exist". If this have been to occur, it's dubious that you just might see Him in Heaven. Some would possibly say that if this have been to occur to you, you were not "quite stored" within the first location, and I'm definite that's many instances, that is right. I'd be inclined to put down cash, even though, that it has occurred that any one who was once "quite stored" has fallen away. Look at Charles Darwin. He was once totally religious, however by the point of his dying, he had fallen away to the factor that he did not simply severely doubt God's lifestyles, he was once definite that God did not exist.

No, I do not, and neither did "Paul"

Time and again Paul likens the Christian’s course to a “race” that must be run to the finish. “Let us run with patience the race that is set before us,” he urged the Hebrews. (12:1, AV) To enter the race, sinners must take the steps necessary for salvation: hearing and accepting the Word of God, believing in Jesus Christ and his ransom sacrifice, repenting of their sins and being baptized. In this way, they get saved “from this crooked generation,” as Peter exhorted those gathered at Pentecost. Unbelievers are outside the race, having failed to enter by getting “saved.”Acts 2:37-40.

Once entered in the race by being “saved,” a Christian takes “hold of the life which is life indeed.” But is it possible to lose that grip on life? Paul answers with this question: “Do you not know that in a race all the runners compete, but only one receives the prize?” In the Christian race, Paul indicates the “one” who receives the prize is anyone who finishes the race. Therefore, Paul urges, “So run that you may obtain it.” Then, using himself as an example to make the point of his illustration, he continues: “I pommel my body and subdue it, lest after preaching to others I myself should be disqualified.” 1 Tim. 6:19.

Evidently the apostle, who surely was a “saved” Christian, believed that even he could be “disqualified” from the race. Yet as long as he continued to ‘run that he might obtain’ the prize, thus remaining in the race, salvation was assured. This is why Christians who remain in the race can be said to ‘have everlasting life.’ But if they should ever quit the race, they are “disqualified,” losing their hold on everlasting life.

From what I understand you can lose salvation. There is the story of a branch bearing no fruit that gets cut off a tree. We will all sin, but willfully doing so over and over and not really caring will not keep a person saved.

I do not believe in this.
The main reason why I don't believe in this is the book of Roman's. Which talks about people falling into sin who were Solid Christian's and became sinful and then no longer christians.

"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."

No, that would mean that we could do all kinds of ungodly act, but we would still enter into His kingdom, when the word of God has already established who wouldn't enter. God has outlined the way we're to live and if we chose to be disobedient to his word, we can "pluck" ourselves out of the position of salvation.

it is easy to stay saved once your saved but if you turn your back on God he will turn his on you but good news is you can return at anytime . we are still accountable for his commandments and to stay saved we must keep God in our hearts otherwise we go back to being child of the world and can be in danger of joining those who rejected God .

This then puts you in the position as your own Savior. Good luck! Keep trying, you never know, you just may make it into heaven if your works are good enough.

Matthew 24; can't remember the verse? He who endures to the end is the one that will be saved.
So, faithfulness to the end is required.
