She is a strong Christian and really close to her mother. I can't get her along long enough to talk to her. She's not being mean, she's just shy. I want to start out as friends and then see where it goes, but I just can't talk to her around a bunch of people. What are some ways to get her comfortable around me and get that conversation started?

The biggest problem is that I only see her at church once a week and if I blow that chance, I have to wait a whole week to see her again.

Maybe stop her and tell her you've got a question or a problem you need help with, ask her it.... go from there

Have you seen the movie "The Prince & Me?" He goes to the library because he hears that she was in there studying, so he asks if she wants to go out for dinner afterwards, her naswer shes busy and shes doing homework. He then leave ans returned with a picnic blanket and chinese takeout for two and lays the picnic blanket out on the table and shares lunch with her. This is how they started to become close. Try it :) It's totlally sweet, what kind of girl wouldn't get swepted off her feet?

First thing first, ask for her number so then you won't have to wait soo long to hear her voice, and it's easier to talk on the phone sometimes!
