I'm 14 and I think I'm the only one who doesn't get enough sleep at school, and a lot of people say I look tired most of the time..I feel so self-conscious because of my dark circles. Please give my some advice.

Since you are so young (and I assume healthy, and drinkings lots of water as you should be), its probably genetic.

The best thing to do is conceal it with concealer. Make sure you get near the bridge of the nose and not just under the eye.

I have under eye circles too, please dont fall for the vitamin K scams and expensive creams. Your genetics are your genetics. You cant change them, but you can learn how to work with what you have.

When you start wearing more than just concealer, use makeup to draw attention to another feature such as your lips. It really works.

Here are a couple of things that I have found to work...

1.) Topical vitamin K: apply (dab/blot, never rub) an under eye cream that contains vitamin K, this will help reduce the appearance of dark circles under your eyes.

2.) Raw potato: surprisingly this old home remedy does work. It's been said that potatoes contain an enzyme that lightens pigmentation therefore can be used to help reduce the appearance of dark circles under the eyes. Basically, you cut a slice of a cold raw potato, halve it so that you have two half circle shapes and place each piece under your eyes for approximately 20 minutes.

Note: use as needed, however, take precaution as this or any other type of treatment may or may not dry out your skin over repeated use therefore a moisturizer may be needed and in most cases is recommended. Try and find a moisturizer that contains a firming agent as well. Such as creams containing retinol which helps boost collagen production in the skin therefore reducing the appearance of fine lines (crows feet). Also, vitamin B (particularly B5) is used in promoting healthy skin and nails.

Hope this helps which it should but getting the proper amount of rest each night and drinking plenty of water is irreplaceable.

My daughter had dark circles even if she slept alot. I am a Mary Kay consultant and if you go to my website marykay.com/sallyacors, you will see the products - concealors and soothing eye gel. Both of these products will eliminate the dark circles. the concealor is a quick fix while the eye gel will change the darkness in time of using the product. You can oder these products on my site and I will be happy to send them to you. have fun at my site.

Use cucumbers on your eyes at night before you go to bed or use a under eye cream to take away the dark circles.

Have your parent take you to the doctor. My doctor says most dark circles are caused by blood pooling under the eye from allergies.

Do you get enough sleep at night? Usually getting enough sleep would get rid of it. Or use a concealer.
