So.....I'm in 7th grade and I like this 9th grader.....Is it possible for a ninth grader to like a seventh grader??? Just wondering?? He's cute and he's nice most of the time....and I've known him since I was in third grade and he was in fifth grade. After 3rd grade I went to a different school and I didn't talk to him at all until this summer when I was babysitting for my mom's friend....who is also conviniently the kid that I like's neighbor! So I started talking to him while the kids were playing outside. This was in early August. The first few weeks of school he talked to me and was really nice and funny....then he kind of stopped....after one time when he waved to me from across the hall and I just put my head down. I really like him....is it possible for him to like me???

Ok, get over yourself. First of all, you clearly do like him so why bother asking if it's possible? Just accept it. There is no stigma to liking a younger guy. In fact, it opens up the dating pool quite a bit more for you if you don't limit who you like to an age. Secondly, you need to never again duck your head when he waves. He probably thought you did like him but, boy, you sure sent him the message that you didn't in a very hurtful way, no less. This makes you appear both insecure and shallow. Don't be that girl. Be the one who maintains the courage of her convictions. Be brave and stand by your own thoughts and feelings, not crappy anti-social high school rules.

It's very possible for a freshman to like a seventh grader. Last year my brother was a freshman and started going out with a seventh grader. Their 1 year anniversary will be in December! Next time he waves, wave back!

That isn't a problem, he's only 2 grades above you. If he's driving your parents may have concerns. He may like you but remember to not push yourself on him, let him notice you and make the first move.
