Yeah and my face didn't even change. People around me were sniffing and holding perfumed hankies under their noses. It sure broke up the monotony of the sermon. The pastor froze in mid-sentence for a brief moment and then he moved on as if nothing happened. Thinking about it keeps me smiling to this day. Thanks for asking.

I guess that's why they call them pews. The wooden seats make it harder to stifle and the harder you squeeze the louder it can be. Many older people have great dificulty with this. I used to fake a sneeze at the same time.
