It's about faith, not proof. But if you want a legitimate argument as to why there is no proof consider this: What kind of proof would you be seeking, and if it was in the form of a miracle most likely you would not beleive it anyway. For more on this see the link below. Here's an excerpt:

God can't prove his existence
It's impossible for God to prove his existence to beings with freedom of thought. For any conceivable thing that God could do to demonstrate his existence, one or more of the following objections can always be made:

The person(s) witnessing the demonstration were hallucinating or dreaming
The demonstration was an optical illusion
The demonstration is a natural phenomena which science will eventually explain
The demonstration was not caused by God, but by someone else, possibly someone masquerading as God: Satan, an advanced race of aliens, a committee of deities, etc.
The demonstration was misinterpreted: aliens made a mistake when they tried to contact us, the scientists who documented it made mistakes or were biased towards theism, etc.
God existed when he caused the demonstration to occur, but he's since vanished or died
The demonstration never occurred, because the world was created yesterday and all our memories were faked, or because The Matrix is reality and this world is a virtual simulation created by aliens/robots/etc. to occupy our minds

The proof is all around us, i used to ask myself the same question until my science teacher whom is also religious told me that einstein, whom youd never believe to be religious stated that how is it possible for something as intricate as an atom or molecule happen by accident. Another proffessor once told me this, if you went to the moon and saw a perfectly rectangular brick shaped rock, in absolutely perfect in size, whould you think it could occure naturally. Could a rock naturally erode into a perfectly simmetrical rectangle? if you say no, then how is it possible that humans, whom are much more intricate, just evolve over time. So according to enstein the proof is all around us.

Common sense should tell you that such a large body of intelligent people would not believe something to the point of sacrificing their very lives for it if necessary, if they did not have very strong proof that what they believed in is real. Your personal lack of exposure to such proof does not constitute valid reason for doubting the existence of such proof. If you want God to prove His existence to you, ask Him to do so, and He will. Once you meet Him and come to know Him personally, that will be all the proof you need.

The Bible is a Divine Revelation. In the Bible we find out what God wants mankind to know about Himself and His plan.

The Bible is the only written revelation of God to man.

No one has ever successfully refuted the Bible. Many mock the Bible but avoid challenging it point by point. No one who has done in-depth research, honestly examining the evidence for the Bible's inspiration and truthfulness, has been able to disprove the Bible.

History records many who set out to disprove the Bible, who instead became believers.
Some scientists would not agree that the Bible is correct -- but none can prove the Bible wrong. And there are many, many scientists who acknowledge that the Bible is scientifically correct.

Man has taken many centuries to discover many things the Bible stated thousands of years ago. Where did the writers of the Bible get their information -- if not from God?

The proof you are looking for is tangible and earthly.
The proof we have is God's Spirit giving credance with our spirit.

1Cor 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
Jas 1:23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is

There is no proof. It cannot be done. The proof argument doesn't hold water either way. I am agnostic. There is no way to prove or disprove the existence of a supreme being.

We don't. You don't know what you're talking about. There's lots of proof out there, you just choose to interpret the proof differently than us.

Faith is the proof. For example, how can you prove the presence of wind. You can't see it. You can only feel it, but you see the effects of it's power. Same with Religion, you see the effective of your faith.
