Make her clean it up and fix or replace everything

1. No car. 2. No TV. (step 2 is especially affective if she watches a special show or has been wanting to watch an upcoming show on TV) 3. Clean up everything. 4. Extra chores might also be in order. 5. No cell phone unless for after school activities. 6. No going to the mall with friends. Do this for about 1-2 weeks. But before, give her a nice long lecture. It might be good to repeat the lecture AFTER the week(s) too. The possibilities are endless. Be creative and have fun!

Sign her up for military asap! (Army, Navy, Marines,)

Press charges against her, have cop come over; request a big one and have her arrested.

Have her brain checked out. Is she high on something. Do the invisible drug check. Where you go in take hair off comb or brush. You send in for the results I think. Its in a box on store shelves. Maybe see if drugstore.com has it online.

Then get a PO box, so she/he does not interfer with the mail delivery.

Is she acting out? You two are not spending time with this person?

You ans your wife are going to need to be a united front on this one. You are going to have to find out what the deeper issue is here though... Don't give her anything and make her urn your respect back make her pay for all the damages!!! That will always teach a good lesson and she might just respect wheat she had to pay for a little more.

I suggest you begin by punishment, grounding her little butt for an undisclosed amount of time. Her punishment length should depend on her remorse level and have her clean EVERYTHING up. Add up how much it will cost to replace what she damaged and that comes out of everything...birthday money, job, etc.

Then, call a good family counselor and ALL of you go to hash this out to see what happened, you need to hear her side and then let her hear yours.

Somewhere along the line, things went really wrong in your home. Best to fix it now before it gets much worse, and believe me, it can.

Punish her. Ground her, take things away, and next time you guys go away, make plans for her to stay with a relative that will have strict rules. She wont like that. she needs to start all over again and learn to earn your trust back. I would personally knock the snot out of her for being so unresponsible. But i know you cant do those things now days :) GOODLUCK hope it all works out! Shame on her!

What reason does she give for this behavior? Is this the first time that she has destroyed things? Certainly you should consider the suggestions above - taking away things, etc. If it continues or gets worse, you may need to call the police.

Talk to the police and talk to a lawyer, kick her out of the house if they cannot do anything, change the locks and reinforce the windows.
If you cannot do the time do not do the crime!!!

What was the reason behind this? Depending on that, I would probably contact the police and/or get her into couselling. Obviously somethings amuck... and you need to get her help. If you can't get her into counselling, the court system/police can.

Are you all stupid?
Punishing her will NOT make her stop.
Geeze, it's a call for ATTENTION!
Ever think that if you brought her with you she may not have BROKEN things in your house?
Maybe you should TALK to her? Ever think of that?
Parents these days are so stupid to just think that punishing their kids will solve their problems.
It wont work! Just try talking to your kids and seeing what is wrong!

seems like everyone is suggesting you just get nasty with this girl. i think you all need to sit down and find out what she is so mad about. if you are a step parent, you need to spend some quality one on one time with a child so that they feel like you have a special relationship with them too. she needs help not punishment. if there are drugs involved you all need professional help before this trouble gets worse. dont let her throw her life away. shes relying on you guys to help her. im not suggesting what she did is okay - that needs to be talked about. she needs to take responsibility and atone for it.
