however in the rare case
there is also aultruism

as long as pursuit of happiness means more money more money more money. that's the single goal i believe humanity clings to

No. I think maybe many do. Some have a different pursuit: God's will.

I think we do, though happiness can be material, which ends with death, or spiritual, which will go on for etenity. "...and men are, that they might have joy." - 2 Nephi 2:25

Propagation of the species comes first. You can't pursue happiness if you don't exist.
