In my humble opinion yes it will. As you say correctly, everything we need and want will be available for free, without the need for drudgery. Bill Gates, you, me and somebody from a village in Ethiopia will all be able to drink champagne and eat caviare without working or depleting Earth's resources. We'll all be equal. Mostly, with a few exceptions, technology has evened things up between rich and poor. Two centuries ago only the rich could experience a symphony orchestra. Now even the world's poor can listen to the same music. Back in 1972, here in NZ, a colour TV cost about 3 months wages. Now, almost every home here, and in China, has one.

I say yes but nano tech has to be autonomous for its full potential. As far as resources there's a whole universe for nanobots to mine. What about self aware supremely intelligent nanobot entity ( a being formed of nano bots). If you can imagine it it might be possible. if you can think it but can't imagine it such as what does infared look like you can build a machine to compensate for what couldn't be imagined but was thought. Only road block is a paradox. Personal vices disabilities and destructive desires can be wiped out through bio engineering. What could destroy a universe of invincible nanobots I say might be if there was another big bang where the universe collapses on it self and starts over or never starts again.

no, because first of all nano-technology is here and is being used. Vine and all alcohol based drinks are produced by naturally occurring nanobots the bacteria and fungi, but we don’t see people producing there own vine and liquor (only a very small portion of people do). Why is this so? nanobots require raw material to work with, and some one will have to produce those raw materials, and that would require businesses.
Nanobots are very different in reality from what you see on the TV. in movies and cartoons, they don’t and will not function just by verbal orders, they require and will in future require sophisticated procedures to control them, which I don’t think would be possible for everyone to do.

Really, I don't think so. Either the world will end before we progress technology that far or the the computers will come to some sort of self-realization.
Besides, there will be other jobs still left - Government, law enforcement, nanobot overseers... If we do get that far, we will still have a need for many human workers.

How does that relate to capitalism? Capitalism is the production of things for the lowest possible cost yielding the greatest profit. Nanotechnology will never be self-sustaining. Those who control nanotech sector will control the things they are producing. Workers cannot be eliminated because technology requires man to be present. A hammer will not drive a nail alone. It helps though.
Nanotech=tool
