It could be dry skin or soap that wasn't completly washed off your skin.

Bathes sure feel great, but instead of adding moisture to you're skin, sometimes they can dry it out, if the water is very hot, and by drawing you're own oils out, which can lead to itchiness. If the soap that you used has a poor rinsability, or if you didn't shower it off afterward, that'll do it, it makes build up. A soap with 100 percent vegetable glycerin, like Sonoma County, is great. Using a pure, vegtable based moisturizer can help.

Dry skin irritated by the warm water. Also there are certain days chlorine is put in to treat the water supply. Here on tues you will notice a much stronger chlorine smell and be more likely to be itchy. The increasead chlorine makes your skin dry out. So either way moisurizing will help.

It could be many things. If you take a too hot and too long of a shower, you could be sucking the moisture right out of your skin. You could also have an allergy to a soap, or even your detergent.

Try shorter, cooler baths with a more gentle soap, and moisturize while your skin is still wet, and use a moisturizer for sensitive skin.

It's because your skin becomes dry. There is something in the water in United States. I am originally from Europe, and I never had that there. When I came to U.S. and took a shower, when I got out, my skin felt like I put on one size too small, and it was itching really bad. But I found that lotion relieves most of the itch.
