Open BMP with MS Paint
Save as... a JPG

Open the .bmp in paint. At the top of the screen, click on "File" and select "Save As...". There will be two drop-down menus near the bottom of the newly opened window. In the first one, you can name you file. Beneath that you will see the second drop down menu you is labelled "Save as type:". From that menu select "JPEG (*.JPG, *.JPEG, *.JPE, *.JFIF)" and click "Save".

This will change the file type, however some quality loss may occur. If anyone else knows a better way to do this, please post!

Hi, you can use Google picasa to help your photography.

picasa is a Google's photo software. It's what should've come with your camera.

It can Edit , organise and Share you picture and small video flips.

It's very easy to use and is free, just like Google

The best software I've discovered is called irfanview. It's free. Just Google irfanview.

load it into a paint package, on windows try e.g. adobe photoshop; or on the amiga try personal paint etc then use the 'save as' function
