The Church is for sinners, Not the self righteous.

So, there are many sinners who have done terrible things, yet God's Church still endures to this day.

Exactly. In fact , Jesus warned that people would do miraculous things and great works in his name and yet he would deny knowing them, Matthew 7 ; 21- 23. He gave 2 basic commandments and a few orders which orthodox and Christendom have failed to keep. Love the Father with your whole soul, mind, strenghth and to love your neighbor as yourself.He also said to tell this good news of the kingdom to all the nations. The failure to preach by reason and scripture and the persecutions, corruption, and death caused by the 3 things u mention have stumbled many from Christianity and put much bloodguilt on those who claim to be closest to the one true God and His Son, Jesus Christ.

True Christianity could never do those things, as they are expressly condemned in the Bible. The Catholic inquisitions were used because they didn't want the common person to read the Bible. Why not? Because anyone who reads it will find out very quickly that what the church teaches has nothing to do with God.

through out history. People who wished to be in power and control the masses. Have used or created religions to do it. Knowing that most people are like sheep and will follow where their pointed. without ever question it. During the inquisitions for instance the people were now allowed to own religious text to ensure compliance. Just look at what is going on in our own country right now. Religious leaders make a statment and their followers just hop to like its God own voice.

You say the true church. I do believe that Christianity is illogical, (G-d is One, not a trinity), so I cannot call it a true church. But, the Catholic Church caused the Crusades, the Inquisition, and has not acted like they say their religion asks them to act. It has gone against everything that is considered to be Christian.

The church in Europe became corrupted by power and an evil hierarchy. They were acting out of their evil intentions and not out of the will of God. The NT doesnt teach to kill or certainly not torture. In fact we are to love our enemies and pray for them!

Could have been. the Christian religion while not the inventors of the ideas. Have used them quite effectively in convincing people to convert or else.
