I have jusgotten an x-box and need help hooking it up to my "Electrohome" television. The problem is, my television only has 2 plugs or jacks, whatever you call them. It has an "audio in" and a "video in".(yellow and a white one). My x-box has a red, yellow, and white cord (3 seperate cords rather than the two jacks for the tv). Do I need to buy another cord specially for this television or what? Please help me out with this. thanks.

connect xbox yellow cord to video in and the xbox white cable to the audio in on the tv - don't worry about the red wire as this is the right stereo cable and your tv is not stereo - xbox will work just fine with this connection

The red light problem is a common one. Go the XBox website and it will have details. If you have a warranty for it get on the phone with the XBox people. They will send you a prepaid shipping box for it so they can either fix it or send you a new or refurbished one. Good luck, and know that you're not alone.

All you have to do is match up the colors. I assume your TV isn't new. Again, you will not have Stereo sound, but your Xbox will still work just fine.
