when people ask a question about christianity or God many ignore the scriptural verses and views and place instead their own or other people's point of view.
God had his commands and teachings recorded in the bible so why do you need to go anywhere else? The bible contains is his decision on things which supercedes mere human thinking.

i cannot answer for others, but for me i find that non believers will listen to what I think, and my thinking is based on the bible.
where they are not interested in reading scripture.
the scriptures are there for all to read if they will.
although I do quote scripture when it is called for.
and that is my decision, not anyone else's.

The Bible did not come from the thinking of men at all. Actually, the Holy Spirit, the divine author, thought of what was to be written. Men just moved the pen. To those of you that think delusional men wrote the Boble of their own thoughts, guess what? The Holy Spirit corrected your mistake many centuries ago.
"For the prophesy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost." 2 Peter 1:21
We should go to the Bible for answers. And to those of you who think each person should interpret the Bible in their own way...
"Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." 2 Timothy, 2:15
Unless you study the Bible regularly, expect your interpretation to be wrong. There is only one true interpretation of the Bible, one correct, and that is God's interpretation. Study your Bible, and you may 'rightly divide' the truth from God's word.

Well, I think you need to look at each person as an individual, the question being posed and their interpretation of the question.
I agree to always search and check verse first. It's important not to take the Word out of context or misuse it.
I like use this page a lot when answering R&S; it has both keyword and chapter/verse searches. Plus allows you to reference different versions (KJV, NIV, The Message, Amplified, etc.) http://bibleresources.bible.com/keywordsearch.php

God's word is more powerful than a two edge sword, and surely more powerful than the reasoning of imperfect humans.
I agree, when it comes to religious doctrines and ideas on matters and problems, the bible should be the main tool for Christians when it comes to decision making.

Bible does not contain everything for human being to follow. Just like law always had to be adjusted. But bible cannot.

The Bible contains the mere thinking of men from a time when those men thought the world was flat, etc. Do you want to put your faith in the words of men that were so out of touch with reality?

Just accepting the bible without question and blindly following it cannot surely be what God expects.. how can we convince doubters with such an empty argument ?

People are ignorant and get lost. Most "Christians" aren't real Christians. Only about 10-15% of the real "Christian" population actually are considered Christians if you look at what God and Jesus told them to do.

Because each one of us interprets words in a different manner.
That is why the Christian church splintered into so many sects.
And I may find your interpretation of scriptures insulting or incorrect. So who should decide? I think each one of us according to our consciences.

its the interprestation of the texts that is so difficult to understand, while it is the literal word of God, not all is to be taken literally.
this is where the different groups of christians come into play
