I was caught driving my fiances car without a license, and the cop gave me a misdomeanor and a court date. He said that if I didn't attend that a mandatory arrest warrent would be issued and I would go to jail. Whats the worst that can happen when I go to court? And how should I prepare myself for when I get there? Is there a story or tricks I should use to turn this into a slap on the wrist?

The arrest part was if you didn't show for court. It's a bench warrant and you'll be arrested the next run in you have with any police officer.
As far as court goes, that depends on the judge. You could get a pretty big fine, jail time, etc... so many variables.

I am sorry for your misfortune, however, you deserve more than a "slap on the wrist". That is one of the things going wrong in our country. Everyone is looking to get off easy...no matter what kind of crime they have committed. You did the crime, be prepared to take the punishment like a man, and stop trying to weasel out of your responsibility.

in most states, misdees can carry a $1000 fine and/or up to a year in jail. of course any time you miss a court date a bench warrant will be issued. be thankful you were issued a cite, most states jail for this crime.

If you don't have a licnese you will get a fine and have your DL suspended for a long amount of time ( assuming it is already suspended) You may get some public serice ( our judge always loved to give people public serivce

Be a big boy,now, and quit whimpering !! If you had hit and killed someone, you would be guilty of murder. Reasoning behind this is if you haqd not been where you were not supposed to be, that person would not have died.
You did the crime, now do the dammed time. Like I said. QUIT WHINING>

they can order you to go to jail, more than likely you will pay fines, however (i do not know your age), if you were too young to drive, or you do nto have a lic or permit, they can hold you from gettign one for a period of time ( a number of months or year), or till your 18 if you are under 18.

You will NOT get any jail time for a misd charge. You will get a fine and your d.l. will be suspended for a longer period of time.

the judge can order you to jail with Big Bubba and hope you aren't blond with blue eyes :)
