a lot of people say that all sin is the same in Gods eyes, well I do not see saying a bad word the same as a man raping a little girl and i dont think god sees it as the same but if he did, doesnt that mean the most religious people out there see raping a child the same as saying a bad word and if you do why arent you fighting to get those rapist out of jail because to some of you its the same. Me personally i think a rapist should have his part cut off.

Ya know, I am really getting fed up with this 'believers' and 'non-believers' stuff! Some of us fit in the middle and that doesn't mean of the Bibble! Sin! Ha!
Sorry, now for your Q. Yes it would seem that this is what they mean. Though they will try to worm their way out of it when you word it that way. Just think, he asks for forgiveness, and ends up in 'Heaven' right next to the little girl that he raped & murdered! And they find comfort in these kind of beliefs! And they all lived happily everafter in Heaven.....BS!
And yes dear, I agree with you on the mid-evil punishment thing, but it doesn't guarantee that he won't assault again. I think we know the only 'Guarantee' for that!
What comes around, goes around. If not in this lifetime...then in the next.
The laws of Karma were removed from the Bibble before the printing press was invented. For somethings (sins) a person must pay!
Blessed Be......

While all sin is equal in its purposes for dooming humanity, we both know that all sin is not literally equal. Doing some things in this life are certainly worse than others and the Bible says that God DETESTS certain things.

You arent going to find many believers that would be willing to accept the notion that there is no difference between a rapist and someone with a cursing problem. You are taking a Biblical principle to the extreme, misapplying it, and projecting it onto us.

If by "bad word" you mean blasphemy (using God's holy name as an expression of disgust or otherwise as a curse word) then, yes, all sin is sin. Paul said that the person who has broken even one little part of God's holy law has broken all of it. A holy and righteous God cannot tolerate the presence of any sin near Him. It does not matter what the sin was. Sin is sin. All humans have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. That's truth (Romans 3.) No one gets to Heaven on his own merits, or by his own good works. None. Not one.

It doesn't mean we see the crime of rape as being as 'harmless' as "saying a bad word," as you put it. It means we see blasphemy as being every bit as bad and evil as rape. No sin is ok.

Where in the Bible is it written that saying a bad word is a sin? The things that the Bible says are sins are treated equally by God.

God punished some sin more and harder than other and I agree with your punishment.
As to the same it is only that all sin makes us unrighteous before God no matter how little it is.

God examines ones heart. All of us have some good in us, our source is good. A sin is a sin but it's what one does to rectify himself in God's eyes that count.

Why should he live at all with or without his part. He could still inflict serious damage without it anyway. It's his evil mind thats the real problem not what he uses.
