I bought two of my surfboards on ebay and got great deals on both. The hard part is that a lot of people aren't willing to ship so you need to find someone close to your location. Some do though. Other than that, try your local surf shop, pawn shop, or used sports store such as "Play-It-Again" sports. Another place is the classified adds or a classified site such as craig's list. Click on the link and see if there is one for your city.

u should buy a good surfboard from a local surf shop because u can look at them and ask for professional help from the employees who most likely surf if u live in a coastal town

if u dont live near the water u should know ur preferences
it also depends on how much money u want to spend to get a board. u could commission a local shaper to shape a board for you but that would cost between 500 and 1000 dollars

i think that ur best bet would be to go to a surf shop and either get a used surfboard if u are just starting off or a new one if u are an experienced surfer

Support your local shaper!
The shipping is out of control for ebay or anywhere else. Don't get a board at Sports Chalet, bad selection.
You can always try craigslist especially now there should be alot on there.

You can try ordering online directly from the manufacturer. Going to a local shop you can actually see and feel the board. Ihave gotten boards from only local shops because I prefer to help out local business.
