When walking in big cities, I am often hounded by whistles and shouts from young men. I can also tell, say, when I order something at a restaurant, by the way the person looks at me, whether he is attracted to me. I do not dress immodestly. I find this attention very frustrating, but I don't want to dress like Miss Frump in order to remove attention. I want to go into retail business because I love people in general... but I feel like my customers would judge me for my looks. I'm only sixten now, but I already sell things online. Do you think my looks would affect the way customers buy from me if I own a brick-and-mortar shop, and will this attutude change when I'm older?

Your predicament sounds like a boon to any brick-and-mortar shop you might open. Attractive people sell more. You are sixteen; you will feel uncomfortable when people admire your looks. No worries, your discomfort shall pass as you mature. Do not change your appearance; it will not change anyone's appreciation of your looks.

Nah, when you get older, you'll still hear it but from old dudes. It will be more toned down though.

With whatever you do in life, being good looking can only help. Sad but true.

No men are men. As you get older it won't faze you as much and you will stop caring more. Atleast so one is putting you down because your but is to big.

Nope.....it continues for the rest of your life.

Just watch tv,.......don't you remember "stars" for their looks and personality.....can you think of one that you only remember for their IQ, and have no idea what they look like?

....Just accept that it's not that important to you...and then you will look within others and see them for what they are to YOU.

No, people are just as shallow when they're older as they are when they're younger if they're like that to begin with.
