It is fish eggs (roe) and I would say yes, that they know they are eating fish eggs. I wouldn't call it menstruation because menstruation is a mammal thing.
Sturgeon caviar is expensive but you can get cheaper caviar from other fish. It is pretty salty and has a slightly crunchy texture. I like it on a cracker with garlic feta cheese spread. I rarely eat it but when I do it is never the expensive stuff.

Why do people assume that caviar is expensive? You can get cheap quality caviar.
If you're going so far, what about chicken eggs would be the same thing right? So you'd cut out any kind of cookies, ice cream, or cake from your diet along with many other desserts, as well as mayonaisse and salad dressing. I guess it's all old chicken menstration too.

Delicacies always seem to be the most vile part of an animal. Strange.
You don't need to be rich to eat caviar. You can get it pretty cheap nowadays, my girlfriends always shoving it down her kneck, I can't stand the stuff!
Oh and Caviar is only Sturgeon eggs, not trout.

It isn't, it's fish eggs, taken from the female sturgeon's body. Now an unfertilised bird's egg might possibly be described in that way. But where would the great British breakfast be if the description were to be accepted?

More to the point ,do rich people feel guilty when they see people living in poverty,They probably feel better when they come on TV and sing a song for children in need and sell a few more albums.

It is only a show off habit of the wealthy, a millionaire‘s wedding
would not be complete without caviar, like it or not.
