Bull sharks are between the only sharks that could survive in clean water. yet that's an exeption to the rule of thumb. maximum sharks prefer the salt water to respire, and without a relentless suppy they are going to die interior minutes.

I don't think sharks can survive in fresh water for too long. There is one type of shark that can swim in fresh though. Bull Shark

because being so heavy the salt helps them float a lot better,just like you treading water,you work a lot more in freshwater than you do in salt water.
