Why Do 12inch Speakers always Burst.?

I've had 12inch speakers my whole life and not once has one blown. Currently I have 3 12inch subs and no problems. It all comes down to proper installation, proper setup, and proper matching of components. If those three things are right then you'd have to be an idiot to blow your subs/speakers.

When it comes to subs spend the little extra and buy decent subs, not the ones from wal-mart or the flea market. Second, make sure to get a decent amp, one who's RMS power rating matches your subs RMS power rating (i.e. 2 100 wrms subs, get a 200 - 300 wrms amp), never get a smaller amp, a little more power is better, this way you can keep the boost down and the gain at around 75% (less strain on the amp and a cleaner sound). Third, make sure the enclosure is right for the subs, not every box is right for every sub, find the recommend specs on the subs and get a box that matches or at least is relatively close.
Also, a good deck is important. And don't turn your bass up on the deck as high as it can go, that causes a lot of distortion. And try to keep your decks volume at 3/4 or below, any higher will also resulted in distortion. After all that, it comes down to correctly installing and an ample power supply.

its not 12inchs that always bust... its how they are put together..

with the amp,wiring, wattage.. alot of factors.. but it being 12inch is nothing involved

turn the gane down on the amp, and run the sub at RMS not peak.
