Sin Is An Abomination to God, and not the definition Of "Abomination". God and sin cannot coincide; so that is why we must have repented of all of our sins before we can enter Heaven. That is also why when Jesus became sin on the cross The Father in Heaven could not look upon Him. That is when Jesus said, "Father, why have you forsaken me?" Jesus had to die on the cross with our sins so that we could attain salvation in spite of our sinful nature.

Sin is to break a "moral" law like stealing or having an affair. An abomination is an act which is unforgivable like murder or rape. An abomination is a very extreme act whereas sin is a common occurence.

Homosexuality is often described as an abomination by ignorant people (and also in the bible) but being gay is no more an abomination than eating shellfish.

Just because people don't accept homosexuality doesn't mean that it is as bad as murder and rape. That is rediculous. I don't care what a 2000 year old book tells us. The 2000 year old book is WRONG.

God loves everyone for who they are. Being gay is fine with God. There are gay animals in nature. There are gay penguins, lions, tigers - gay animals exist in all the animal kingdom. It's a part of nature. Not everyone's cup of tea but there you have it.

A sin is a mistake and goes against the law of God, and abomination goes against both the law of God and the law of humankind. Both are equally bad from a theological viewpoint, but abominations are punished heavier. I'd say abominations are worse too, becasue people are getting hurt by them. God can't really get injured, even by the most henious sin...

Any sin will keep you out of Heaven. God used abomination only when describing the sin of homosexuality, no other sin.

Same thing. When a person commits an abomination, they commit a sin. They are of equal weight in God's eyes.

All sin is an abomination to God.
The word just means that something is "unacceptable" before God.

You are the most ignorant, bigoted fanatic that I have seen in a long time. You disgust me! What a fine example of the worse kind of religious fanaticism.

HEY!! I have an idea!!

The bible was supposed to be a book of love and brotherhood (or so its followers claim...)

This may seem REALLY CRAZY to you, but why not use it for that, INSTEAD of using it as a weapon to justify hating people and hurting people? What is the matter with you all????

Sin, we all do. Abomination is like Republicans say they are Holy and vote for them, when in fact they are evil businessmen.
Thats why I quit Church, they took over, and the Church goes for people with money. Like the Catholics and the Mafia.
