Did you know that that was in the Old Testament?Did you know that that was a way of protecting the widow?Do you ever read things in context?Or do you just get your 'questions' of those "Islam guide" websites? Sorry if I seem rude but I am annoyed that some people take things out of context,not bothering to think about the culture at the time,or whether it was in the Old or New testament.Please stop picking verses here and there and twisting them to suit yourself.

I TOTALLY agree with saren. This is what exactly the christians do to Islam and twist the verses around to suit themselves.
We as muslims shouldn't questions the bible. It is indeed inspired by God, but altered in many ways by monks and priests. So it is very hard for us to figure out which verse is true and which isnt.

Unfortunately, that is not happening anywhere any more, since people aren't allowed more than one wife in christianity. And we actually( now here's a novel idea for you muslim men) allow our women to choose who they marry
