My friend is allergic to wheat, MSG and anything with gluten in it and when she comes over, I don't know what to cook for her!!! Any really good meal ideas or recipes, sites you can give me so I can cook her different, thoughtful meals of the day to let her know that I care too much about her? I would really appreciate any feedback you give me. Oh, and if you know the answer to any of the other questions I currently have in my profile, I would appreciate an answer to those too, thanks so much, I love you all! :-)

Stick with recipes that are meats and vegetables. Can she have rice as a side dish? If so, that would make a balanced meal. Here's recipes that might work: salad/dessert/ two main dishes, one beef and one chicken

Beef & Pepper Rice Skillet

1 1/2 lbs round steak, cut into thin strips
1 cup onion, sliced
1 cup rice
1 can beef broth (10 1/2 oz) or use bouillon
cube in water
1 soup can of water
3 Tablespoons soy sauce
2 green peppers, coarsely chopped
1 jar pimentos, sliced (if desired)
Brown beef in oil. Stir in everything except the green pepper & pimento. Bring to boil, reduce heat, cover and cook over low til liquid is absorbed and rice is tender (about 25 minutes). Stir in the green pepper & pimento. Heat through.

RICE AND CHICKEN PILAF WITH DRIED CURRANTS AND TOASTED ALMONDS

1 tablespoon olive oil
1 onion, cut into wedges
12 ounces skinless boneless chicken (thighs or breasts) cut into strips
1 garlic clove, minced
1 1/2 cups white rice
1/4 cup dried currants
2 cinnamon sticks, broken in half
4 cups chicken broth
2 tablespoons sliced almonds, toasted

Heat oil in heavy large deep skillet (preferably nonstick) over medium-high heat. Add onion and sauté until golden, about 5 minutes. Sprinkle chicken with salt and pepper. Add chicken and garlic to skillet; sauté until chicken is no longer pink, about 4 minutes. Stir in rice, currants, and cinnamon sticks. Add broth and bring to boil. Reduce heat to low; cover and cook until rice is tender and most liquid is absorbed, about 20 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Transfer to bowl. Discard cinnamon. Sprinkle with almonds.

Blackberry Lemon Ice

1 cup water
1/2 cup sugar
4 cups frozen blackberries
1/4 cup fresh or bottled lemon juice

Boil the sugar and water for about 2 minutes. Cool slightly. Put in a blender with the partially thawed blackberries. Blend until smooth. Push the mixture through a sieve so the seeds are removed. Add the lemon juice to the mixture, blend well. Pour into a 9x13 pan. Freeze about 1 1/2 hours. Use a fork to break up the mixture. Freeze another hour. Break up again with the fork and serve. (If serving later, thaw a bit until you can break up the mixture with a fork.)

Best Ever Salad

Baby Spinach leaves or butter lettuce & radicchio mix
Dried Cranberries
Slivered Almonds (spread on a plate, sprinkle with sugar, microwave 2 minutes)
Thinly sliced apple (Fuji are best)
Poppyseed Dressing

Stir all together. Let sit for 30 minutes and then serve.

Is that even conceivable? properly i do not see why no longer because i wager we may be able to have hypersensitive reactions to each and every thing. yet to be allergic to such an important substance is exceptionally demanding to believe. i have not in any respect heard of a water hypersensitivity before. yet when I were allergic to water, i might want to bathe in some variety of oil probable and positioned on truly some deodorant

Start with fresh ingredients and read labels carefully if adding prepared items too. For pastas, most wheat/gluten allergic can safely have spelt pasta, rice pasta, quinoa (keen-wa) pasta. There's a tofu pasta called shirataki noodles. It's found in health food/gourmet grocery stores in the cold section.

***Careful with soy sauce...some brands have wheat in it. Read the labels!***
