do people w/ hearing aids take them off before they sleep?

I think they do because it would hurt if they slept on their side and their hearing aid was onn.......... ouch

Yes, they should. The ear needs a break from wearing a foreign body in it all day. The hearing aid will probably feedback with contact close to the pillow as well.

My mom just never wear them. Paid like $1,600 and they sit on a table in her room. One good thing, the batteries last a long time this way.
