Mostly for hunting, has anyone heard of Leapers? Are they good for airguns?

I have used a Simmons "Pro Hunter" on my FWB 124D for the past 15 years..I would recommend this scope to anyone..Another you might want to look at is the Bushnell Sportsman...

To answer your second question, no i'm not familiar with the Leaper's scopes...I gave you the 2 air rifle scopes that I feel are the best value for around $100...Others that I am familiar with and you might want to take a look at. BSA has a wide selection and scopes priced as low as $10...Beeman has some very nice scopes, but, you pay the price...RWS makes a quality product...

I am very pleased with my Simmons, it's clear as a bell and works well for targets, paper or rabbit at 10 meters or 50..

Bound's hubby here:

A very good question. A point many people overlook, is that you can not use a scope designed for a rimfire or centerfire rifle on an airgun. By design, they are different, and the operation of an airgun can actually quickly destroy the scope. You need to use a scope specifically designed for air rifles, such as those marketed by the Airgun Depot, see link below!

Good luck!

You can get a Barska airgun scope for 25 at Gander Mountain (if you have it where you live) or any sporting goods store. The optics are ridiculously clear and bright. A 4 x 32 is usually a pretty good choice because you dont really need ridiculously high magnification for an airgun. Gamo makes shoddy gun scopes, so dont waste your money. They're usually blurry and dim.
