Here are the steps that work for me on my Mac. The steps for Windows should be almost the same:
1. Insert > Movies and Sound > Sound from file...
2. Select that sound icon you want to set options for.
3. Edit > Sound object. In the small dialog window, check "Loop until stopped".
4. On the Slide Show menu, point to Animations, click Custom, and then click the Options tab.
5. Put a check in "Play using animation order"
6. Then, for "While playing", select "Continue slide show".
7. Then for "Stop playing:", select "After" and change the number to however many slides you have in the presentation (or to an even higher number so you have some room to add more slides without going through these steps again).
8. Click OK.
