Christians already accept discrimination against themselves, both in this country and around the world. As to your disappointment about the poll numbers all I can say is that when people vote for politicians they usually vote for people whom they believe share their values about what is important in life. Just because someone doesn't want an Atheist to be President doesn't mean that they would object to one living next door.

Your distorted view of President Bush is a lamentable straw man. The President has not personally killed anyone. His team of negotiators enganged in lengthy diplomatic appeals with the former presiden of Iraq and it was only when that process had failed that the war started. Saddam was a murderous dictator who killed his own people and supported terrorism while seeking to construct weapons of mass destruction. If I wanted to talk about Atheist leaders who have been responsible for the killing of a lot of people I would only have to look at Stalin or Chairman Mao to find some examples. Do you want to defend either of those Atheists?

This questions is sort of twisted. As a Christian i do not support what the current president (GWB) of the USA did in going to Iraq in the first place But we have to Stabilize first before we leave. And NO! I will not vote for an Atheist since it goes against everything I believe.

Your insulting language has just explained why it's so difficult for people to consider an atheist for President.
