Actually it was Money Edition. It was created for the sole purpose of making money off the word Millenium. Everybody wanted to buy things that were Millenium Editions.

It's always a bit precarious trying to design a better, less DOS-connected Windows OS. Microsoft likes to use just one version name or number for an OS but update it with "SP-2" or whatever. Maybe they should comply with the general format of other developers by just adding a decimal-number to the version number. The ME could have been called "Windows 98.2" but some might suggest it was really a step back from 98.

Surprise that It took so much time for the st entry for this subject as this one was a malicious edition..! Well brah soon your coloumn wud be full of insults for this poor OS by the richest man. Its got no updates, no service packs & most of the plug & play wont work with it. USB comunication has a lot of problems...& like the good old Dx says I'v got just 2 words for it....

Yes it was BAD. I never had it but I worked on 3 different desktops from HP that had it installed and all three crashed. PURE JUNK.
