Don't you have to be a MUSLIM to qualify for interest-free loans from a Muslim?
note: I'm looking for answers with either the word "yes" or "no" somewhere within them, not personal attacks for pointing this out

More about "Islamic banking":
"Some Muslims have opposed these Islamic banks, claiming that they do deal in interest but merely conceal it through legal tricks. Indeed, from an economic perspective, Islamic banks do compensate and charge for the time value of money, thus paying and receiving what is known in economics as "interest."

I doubt there are any loan companies in the US run by Muslims for that very reason...they can't make a living off of doing people a favor. Maybe there is something like that in the Middle East, but nothing like that in America

I am a Muslim. The answer is no, you don't have to be Muslim. I don't think there is any difference of opinion on this matter between muslims. They'd be happy to do interest-free business with anyone. They have set fees so that they still make money. They just don't "gamble" which is what interest is, a prediction of future growth or decline of the dollar. This overall makes for a financially more stable society.

No, and the thumbs down is extra.
For further information, I suggest you refer to the following work: Yahiya Emerick's The Complete Idiot's Guide to Understanding Islam 2nd edition. It should be available through your local library system or bookstores or you can order it online from Amazon.com.

from Muslim person or friend(not financial institution), if they agree to give you loan (not for commercial bases) yes. I have never heard of commercial financial institution give free loan , they have to make profit somehow either by interest or some other means. All businesses have to make gains even non profit organization.

It'll mainly depend on the "Muslim" person you're asking about.
And how open they are. Generally, they'll prob be more friendly if you're musslim.
But seriously, don't convert to a religion unless you're serious. Most likely no, but if you start getting serious and looking itno what the religion is about, yeah, I think they'll gve you a loan.

I'm not attacking ye or anything, but seriously, take a look at her questions, they're all about Islam and how bad she think it is, get over it, you don't like it then you don't.
What do ye want to destroy it or be a muslim? it's just funny how empty and free people are nowadays.
And oh, the answer is no, I think you already knew that missy.

Unlike a Jew, a Muslim cannot ask for interest money because taking interest is sinful no matter who you take it from.
