Jesus came to serve the people, and taught that faith without works is dead. If you are a Christian, how do you prove it, how do you show it, do you have the humility needed to attend Church and worship the very God you hope will save you?

Saying that we are a Christian and believe in God might demonstrate our faith, but what about works, if it was good enough for Christ, shouldn't it be good enough for us?

Seek ye first the Kingdom of Heaven...............

read the Bible perhaps, that might be a start, and learn the principles the Savior taught, and then live them, that will definitely demonstrate your desire to follow God.

Jesus said, " I am the way, the Truth and the life. No one comes to the father except through me." So there is only one way to heaven; Through Jesus. Now what does that mean?

Romans 10:9 says If you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. That means to be saved we must accomplish two things. We must believe not only cognitively but volitionally. Our Cognitive belief states 4 things,
1. Agree with God of your Sinful State
2. Believe that Jesus is God
3. Believe that Jesus' sacrifice was sufficient to atone for your Sin before a Holy God
4. Believe that Jesus rose from the dead, proving that he is the conqueror of not only physical but spiritual death.

The second is to believe volitionally. That is to commit total dependence and trust in God. He must be infused in your heart. This is evidenced by three things

1. Remorse over Sin.
2. Repentance for your Sin-There is a difference in being sorry for your sin and repenting. Repent literally means to run the other way.
3. Sincere request of Salvation from your Sin.

If you can say yes to these things truly, then you know you are saved.

Have you had that moment where you confessed Jesus Christ your Lord & believed in His resurrection?

Well then Jesus gave you His righteousness. Once a person is born of God, God sees the righteousness of His Son.

Just confess any sin to God & He is faithful & just to forgive you your sin and cleanse you of all unrighteousness.

Learn about who you are in Christ. When in doubt, cast it out. Forgive others knowing Jesus forgave you.

Pastor preached this today in church. Too many condemn themself. I'm not righteous because I go to church. I go to church because I am made in the righteousness of Christ. I am not righteous because I have a buz cut or way out hair. I am made in the righteousness of Christ just as I am. The day a person confesses Jesus Christ ones Lord, is the day person is made in Christ righteousness. Person is just as righteous as the Christian who has gone to church for 30 yrs. It is Christ's righteousness.

Just grasp the truth that ever lasting life is a gift that Jesus did for you. You need to read the bible and books on who you are in Christ. Meditate on these.

You can never be certain you're going to heaven. That's what makes faith so wonderful!

But you believe in God. You ask for forgiveness. I can assure you that God loves you and will forgive you anything even if you don't ask for it.

But if you're asking this question, you might need to ask yourself:
Have I done anything that makes me wonder if I deserve heaven?

If so, try to change your ways. And everybody doubts sometimes. If you don't doubt sometimes, you can never truely believe.

The only way that you can be positive that you are going to heaven is if you know that you are doing everything that you possibly can in order to live your life in a faithful way. You should read your scriptures and live the way that they tell you to in order to gain a testimony and have a sure knowledge that what you believe in is true. If you feel that you can be a better person by going to church, you should attend church regularly.

Anyone who has accepted Jesus' free gift of forgiveness by surrendering their life to follow His will as shown in the Bible is going to heaven.

Why not worry more about your time here on earth? The greatest reward for good deeds is the "thank you" you get from others, the smiles on their faces, their sincere gratitude.

"Goodness for the sake of doing good" as it says in Judaism. Sounds pretty wise to me and even though I don't believe in God or Heaven, my guess is that if you were to follow that creed, you'd probably find yourself in Heaven.

"We know that we have come to know him if we obey His commands." 1 John 2:3

Obedience to the Word of God is the only way to be sure of the HOPE that we have, God doesn't give us positive, He gives us faith.
