It depends whether you are asking about 'true Australians' - the Aboriginals - or the majority immigrant population.
The latter mourn in similar ways as would be done in Europe, the Americas or Asia - or wherever they are from. The Aboriginals have more unique death rituals, which I don't know enough about to be able to tell you very much - just that they are quite different.

Probably the same as everybody else. We mourn the departed in a funeral (when the person is either buried or cremated). If cremated, the ashes may be scattered.
Most people then have a 'wake' where the person's life is celebrated.

It would depend on the religion.
Death is mourned not celebrated, the life of the deceased is celebrated.
When my Dad died, we had a funeral and then he was cremated and his ashes buried. This is common.
The funeral was followed by a wake, where we swapped funny stories and laughed and cried together.
Others are buried, others have their ashes scattered and then there are religions that I just don't know what they do when someone dies.

Hmm, we celebrate their life, not their death...usually with a service in a church then to the cemetery or crematorium followed by morning/afternoon tea.

I wasn't aware that anyone actually 'celebrated' death. I've never heard of a death party.
