Profiteers and the politicians they are in bed with often win. The people loose. God cries.

In a nuclear war, the real enemy is war itself. In the first 30 minutes of a full-scale nuclear exchange, 1.1 billion will be killed, mostly in the US, Russia, China and Japan. Another 1 billion will succumb to radiation poisoning. The northern hemisphere would be plunged into prolonged agony and barbarity.
Eventually the nuclear winter will spread to the southern hemisphere. All plant and animal life would eventually die off. Those surviving in fallout shelters would only last until they use up their stores.
That would be the end of WWIII, WWW IV will be fought with sticks and stones...quoting Einstein.

We would have to institute a draft to get enough manpower and then go in and slaughter a lot of civilians while digging out the insurgents. Remember that the vast majority of Iraqi's want us out of there and feel that attacking our troops is a good thing. That leaves us with option of killing them for their own good. Talk about getting into a no win scenario!!! But that's where we are. It's not a matter of willing it's a matter of can't do to political reasons or won't do to our moral values about killing civilians.

Some one has to almost pick up the pieces and start the costly
rebuilding process and it may take years to really recover from the effects of war. Too many lives lost that will never recover!!!

When people kill people nobody wins but the people who sell the arms. The side that looses has many dead to bury and the side that wins has many dead to bury. I wouldn't call that a win win situation for anyone but the arms dealers and the Political group that got it started and was on the win side. You won't find any Mothers or Fathers that lose a child who think it was a win.

because both sides lose casualties as well as innocent lives and tons of them. the cost of the war is crazy on both sides, because there are leaders on both sides who make mistakes therefore putting lives in danger on both sides, that the debt increases on not one but both sides, that many people are dying for no reason, cause or anything that they have done. that blood will be spilled on both sides in even amounts when it comes the end, that history will be repeated itself and the leaders will take no notice but do the dame mistakes again. in a war no one wins because both parties are at a loss or another in various areas: people, supplies or ammunition as well as desctruction and debt, hunger, thirst and death of the innocent.and when it comes to some stupid person bringing up the war in Iraq and saying that we are doing the best we can while the people want us out of there, yeah that is what i call bull and being stupid and arrogant! someone wrote about the war in Iraq-someone who gave an answer before me- and trust me when i say that he knows crap about war! the US always fights on foreign lands, not ours, they spend BILLIONS on ammunition and keeping the troops in there until 2010 and they want to transform the way of government too! how many people have died so far especially the innocent Iraqis for which you moron who made that comment stand for Bush -try around 700 a day! why dont we fight the war on US grounds and see how it feels to have people hate us like lets say most of the world since our Predident is a moron, his advisors are idiots and oh yeah it is people like the moron with the Iraq war that know ****! you cannot go in there and say that you are helping some country when you are making their life a living hell and destroy any chance of having a good and decent life even if change might of take 10 or 15 years! go to Europe and see how many countries praise the US and how many hate the US and there is your answer!the number of people dying is too big for such as stupid thing to go on!

This has always been an issue and the answer is standard. Both sides make the sacrifices of people's deaths to accomplish their goal. Both military personnel and civilians. All of us will have a relative in a war and what happens to them affects their families as a dominoe affect. Who is right and who is wrong is not the issue in this scenario.

A war is very rarely fought for the sake of the prime advertised purpose. Look to the micro objectives, and you'll see that there are very definite winners.

I tend to look at war like a chess game, a lot of sacrificing men to gain power over your opponent. Most results in stalemate with no main objective accomplished.
