After your first sexual experience your body changes forever. Why acquire a hunger until you're sure you can get it satisfied? For a woman, hormones are activated and personality changes take place. The man who causes those to happen should be one who will stand by you through thick and thin forever, one you'll be happy to trust and encourage.
In the laws of Moses, if a guy and girl were found together they had two choices: get married or be executed. But those laws are no longer in effect, right?
The 7th commandment speaks against adultery, but of course neither of you is married, right? At least one of you probably will be at some time, and if not to each other, then, yes, you did take something precious from the new mate.
The Bible speaks a lot against fornication, but you love each other so much that you're just going to do it with each other, right, so that's not fornicating, right? Well, if you're planning to be that loyal, why not respect each other enough to go ahead and get married now?
The 6th commandment says, "Thou shalt not kill." If you get pregnant unexpectedly, there's going to be a real temptation to do it. Millions of women have broken hearts over lost babies. Millions of women are wondering how they're going to support their children, ahd trying to collect child support, and wondering how they're going to tell their parents, etc.
I am so frightened for you, for your happiness. Because none of this information is going to help you. Just know that any young man who puts you at risk...
O.K. You're asking the wrong question. In the Bible, virgin is a term of respect. You deserve it, until a man steps forward and promises to cherish the consequences for the rest of his life.

It doesn't. The whole idea comes from the word adultry, which in its original meaning meant, "A married woman having sexual intercourse with someone other than her lawful husband, or a man having sex with a woman that was married to someone other than him." Originally this was a proprty crime as women werem under ancient Hebrew Law considered to be the property of first their fatherm then later their husband.
Later is cam to mean any married person haveing sex with someon other than their lawful spouse and eventually came to mean ANY sexual activity outside of marriage. This, of course led to the idea that single peplole shoud not engage in sexual intercourse either.
In pre-Christian Europe women that had either already had children or were pregnang were far more prized than untried virgins, worth twice the bride price among the Celtic tribes. it wasn't unitl after the conversion the virginity came to be seen as a desirable trait, an idea that has, of course fallen into disfavor among the more sensible of us in the last 40 eyars...

Since the Bible speaks against fornication, which by the Oxford dictionary is defined as sex between unmarried people, you will find MANY instances of this - too many to list here.

I don't believe it says it that way. It says that adultery and fornication are sins, so if you don't commit those sins then you would be a virgin when you marry. Men should too.
1Cor 7:4 The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife.
