I'm looking at purchasing some bathroom fixtures, and I've been told to get something in brushed nickel. Interestingly, it looks like I can find a less expensive option on some items in matte nickel. Can I combine matte nickel and brushed nickel - and have it look close enough?

The difference with brushed nickel, matte nickel and satin nickel is the manufacture. The look for all these finishes are achieved the same way. Just called a different name by who made it. The only problem is if you buy a Moen faucet and Kohler bath fixtures you will see the difference.

Dewy will leave your skin with a soft glow, a very natural looking sheen. Liek you have no makeup on. Matte leaves your skin with a powdered finish. Different women like different things. I personally love Max Factor PAN STICK for a dewy finish and wear it every day. But when i am going to a wedding or something formal, i will apply powder over it for a matte look, to look more made up.

there's not a big difference if these items aren't right next to each other i think it would be OK... I've seen different brands of brushed nickle items that looked different... 6 of one 1/2 dozen of the other... match it to suit you is all that matters...
hope this helps!!!
