I dont think that you can be addicted to anything, its all in your head. People have the power to stay away from things that they dont want or need. Its just something you enjoy, so keep drinking it. there is nothing to be addicted to.

yes you can be addicted to coffee, but i wouldn't define using it once a week as an addiction. Needing it as a stimulant is an addiction, if you think you are addicted ask yourself how you feel when you don't have it, are you depressed? are you irritable? and more to the point, do you have a headache, as when you give up coffee, if you have an addiction, your head will hurt for a week.

I don't drink coffee at all, but when I am in San Fran I love the smell of starbucks, I wouldn't get too hung about that at all.

Personally I don't like Starbucks (that's just me). But yes, you can get addicted to coffee.
I'm addicted. I have to have a cup everyday and it has to be before 9:00am, or I'll get the worse headache and will have it most of the day, even if I have a cup later. So it is possible.

Yes you can be addicted to coffee. I'm proof of that, I drink it all day long. The only way to tell if you are is if you go without it and get a raging headache, that's a sign of caffeine withdrawl.

Doesn't sound like addiction to me.
I might be though. I usually have 2-3 cups a day. Lots of older people drink coffee alot.

A boost that helps you get through your day can be considered addicting, and it's quite easy to need the extra energy from the caffeine.

I think my brother is addicted to coffee, so who knows?
