In some states they can on a temporary basis. To "Scare you straight". Or there are other options like boot camp and tough love programs.
Quit being an ingrate and respect your parents and their wishes. Your life is not your own until your 18 and can accept responsibilty for your actions. Anything you do before your 18 your parents are legally liable for.

Yes, parents can send their child to juvenile hall if they want. In the county I live in, there are several places where parents can send their uncontrollable children; juvenile hall, group homes, and consequential camp. Consequential camp does not require a court order nor any previous contact with law enforcement, the others require counseling appointments and so forth for both the child and parents, but a 72 hour hold is possible.
If the child, despite other avenues to deter behavior, continues to be rebellious, the parent can get an order for the child to be committed for long term stay at a group home. Juvenile hall is usually reserved for minors who commit crime, are truent, or have addictions.

It depends on what state you live in. When my brothers and I were younger my brother had a problem stealing. My dad talked to the police department on what he could do to get my brother to stop stealing. A cop told my dad to talk to a judge. My dad did talk to this judge and my brother was sent to a juvenile hall for a month. After the month the judge told my brother that if he didn't learn his lesson he would be in juvenile hall until he was 18. My brother did learn his lesson and stopped stealing.

No! Juvenille hall is a sentence by a judge after one has been convicted of a crime.
Probation is the most likely sentence for a minor first-time crime.

They can't drop you off out of the nowhere, but they can go to Juvenile Matters and file a motion for a Family with Service Needs, put you under the eye of a probation officer and wait for your next temper tantrum. THEN you'll go to juvi
Or, easier yet, they can call the cops the next time they get sick of your outbursts, and they take it from there

They will have to get with the juvenile services and have the court declare you deliquent. Then can arrange for you to go to a boot camp or detention. This is fairly commom for kids that will not listen or do as they are told

Actually yes, but they would be making a big mistake. So stop doing whatever it is that has driven them to make this threat.
