get used to it...my son started doing that when he was about that age...

it's a growing thing....my son eventually started to take naps in the afternoon again (albeit not as long)....and started to sleep throughout the night again by the time he was 2.....

then again..each child is different. .....hope this helps..

Well, I am not a mother, but I remember that when my brother and sister were babies before putting them to sleep at night, she would take them a nice warm bath and give them warm milk. They would knock out right away. Some times if they would wake up in the middle of the night, my mom and dad would pray and ask God to let the baby sleep and take away what ever bad dream or anything negative that might be bothering them. Even though they are just babies, trust me they can fell negative vibes. I know because I have experience it with them.

Try taking him out to play before dinner, and then keeping him awake until bedtime. A warm bath, and a little bit of laptime before bed should soothe him. He is probably having a hard time adjusting to the baby, and might just need some reassurance that he isn't being replaced. He might be teething, so try some baby aspirin. Hope you get some sleep!!

i think hes calling for attention because you might be to busy with your 4 month old, my oldest son was the same way he wouldn't sleep at night unless i was there, he was very jealous about the new baby, so he would act out by crying at night.

no, i wouldn't think he is sick. try laying down with him. that might help a little. then you oculd both get sleep just together
